Decipher Abbreviations and Acronyms

Acronym Finder is a dictionary with over 600,000 abbreviations, acronyms and initialisms. Simply type in the abbreviation or acronym to get a list of possible definitions. For example, ICPC is used to refer to Interstate Compact for the Placement of Children or International Conference of Police Chaplains as well as several other meanings.
If you still aren’t sure which meaning is the one you need, you can further categorize the definition into areas of information technology, military and government, science and medicine, organizations and schools, business and finance, or slang, chat and pop culture. It would depend on the usage. If you had more than one USO center (United Serviceman’s Organisation) you could have two USO’s involved. You could have many typewriters, and collectively, they would be IBM’s. You could have two SPCA’s involved in a project. I think the real problem is not so much that abbreviations and acronyms can’t be used in plural form, but that they normally operate as a single unit.
